Broccoli and Sunflower Seed Salad

Combining two great ingredients that will make the journey to becoming a Health Hero tastier and easier, this recipe is a sure fire winner.

THE Salad

1 ½ lbs. broccoli florets, thinly sliced, roughly chopped

¾ cups raw sunflower seeds, shelled

¾ cups red onion, peeled, finely chopped

¾ cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated (non-dairy optional)

2/3 cups dried tart cherries


In a pan over medium heat add raw sunflower seeds.

Stir frequently and cook for 4-5 minutes. Should start to turn golden.

Set aside.

In a large bowl, add chopped broccoli, onion cheese and cherries.

Stir to combine and set aside.

In a small bowl, add all dressing ingredients and whisk until well blended.

Pour dressing over salad and stir to combine. Make sure that all ingredients are coated.

Serve and enjoy!
