Dr. Langenderfer truly believes FOOD is the foundation to optimal health. Why? Because she has experienced this for herself! Also, after years of clinical practice, she have seen people frustrated with less than optimal results. She realized that what you fuel your body with needed to be addressed first. Often times when people change their nutrition 50% of their symptoms will improve. You cannot out supplement or out medicate a poor diet!
Dr. Langenderfer grew up on a farm in rural Michigan. Her family used conventional farming methods to raise over 1,000 acres of wheat, corn, soybeans, and had over 200 pigs at a time. She was active in 4-H and was an avid athlete. You would think growing up on a farm and playing sports that she would have been really healthy but she was not! Chronic ear infections as a child resulted in many rounds of antibiotics. She also had severe eczema and asthma which resulted in chronic steroid use. This ultimately wreaked havoc on her gut, skin and hormones. She spent the first half of her life feeling awful all the time, she knew there had to be a better way to live. This ultimately led her to seek out a career as a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist.
Dr. Langenderfer is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and has a Master of Science Oriental Medicine. She is also a Fellow of American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. Learn more at drlangenderfer.com
