Vaccines – friend or foe?

Dr. Nandi leads a powerful discussion on the merits of vaccinations for children.

Joining him for this spirited debate are Dr. James Neuenschwander, his wife and Nurse Practitioner Patricia Neuenschwander, Dr. Zoy Patouhas, and activist Joel Dorfman.

ZOY PATOUHAS

Dr. Zoy Patouhas is a board-certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, where she received an award for her professionalism. Dr. Patouhas, a Beaumont physician, has been practicing pediatrics at Mali and Mali Pediatrics for 12 years. A repeat “Mom Approved Doc” in Metro Parent Magazine, Dr. Patouhas remains active in the community: having mentored middle school girls interested in careers in science, being a Sunday School director, and singing in a church choir. She strongly believes in educating parents and children on health topics. Dr. Patouhas lives in the Metro Detroit area with her husband and 2 children.

JAMES NEUENSCHWANDER

JAMES NEUENSCHWANDER Dr. Neu, MD founded Bio Energy Medical Center in 1988. Dr. Neu’s philosophy is that we are designed to be well—illness results when something is preventing that wellness. Discover and treat that something and the body heals itself. Dr. Neu brings this philosophy along with a wealth of knowledge, experience, empathy, and a true caring for people to each patient encounter. He appreciates the value of Western Medicine and technology play in treating patients. Fortunately for his patients, he also appreciates the value of using methods that have been used for hundreds of years also to treat patients, especially in prevention and in the treatment of chronic conditions. Dr. Neu is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Integrative and Holistic Medicine, as well as Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) as well as holding a certification in chelation therapy. He is a member of A4M, ACAM, and ILADS. He has been a DAN! Practitioner since 2007, a member of Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS) since its founding, and a MAPS fellow since 2014. He received his undergraduate, medical, and medical postgraduate training from the University of Michigan.

PATRICIA NEUENSCHWANDER

Tricia is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (MSN, RN, CPNP-PC) who specializes in holistic pediatric care. She joined Bio Energy Medical Center in 2007 as the office manager. Tricia’s background is predominately in emergency room nursing, where she worked for over 17 years. She received her Associated Degree in Nursing from Schoolcraft College in 1994, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University in 2006, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University in 2014. Her passion lies in promoting the health of children and caring for those who are vulnerable.
