Connecting With Teens

Episode Overview:

ON THIS EPISODE OF “ASK DR. NANDI,” WE’RE TALKING ABOUT HOW PARENTS CAN BEST CONNECT WITH THEIR TEENAGERS. THIS CAN BE TOUGH BECAUSE EVERYONE IS SO BUSY WITH MANY DEMANDS ON OUR TIME.  DR. NANDI AND HIS GUESTS WILLL HELP PARENTS AND TEENS BREAK DOWN COMMUNICATION BARRIERS.  THEY’LL GIVE ADVICE ON HOW PARENTS CAN TALK TO THEIR KIDS REGARDING HOW THEY WANT THEM TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT, BE RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL AND SUCCEED IN LIFE.

Partha’s Prescriptions:

  1. FIND OUT WHO YOUR TEEN IS FROM HIS OR HER POINT OF VIEW. GET INTO THEIR HEADS BY ASKING THEM THEIR THOUGHTS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS. AND, TALK ABOUT THEIR DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE.
  2. STAY INVOLVED AT YOUR TEEN’S SCHOOL.THAT’S WHERE THEY SPEND THE MAJORITY OF THEIR TIME. GET TO KNOW THE TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS, AS WELL AS YOUR CHILD’S FRIENDS.
  3. LOOK FOR CHANGES IN YOUR TEEN’S BEHAVIOR AND IF THEY ARE HANGING OUT WITH A DIFFERENT CROWD. REBELLION CAN BE A SIGN THERE’S SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG.
  4. AND, TEENS REALLY DO WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH THEIR PARENTS. THEY NEED YOUR ATTENTION, SUPPORT, AND LOVE.
