Supercharge Digestion with Spicy Ginger Soda
Ginger Soda
Ingredients
- 16 cups club soda chilled
- 2 1/2 cups fresh ginger peeled, chopped
- 4 4 inch strips lemon peel yellow part
- 1 2/3 cups white sugar
- 5 cups water
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add ginger, lemon peel and water.
- Bring to boil and then simmer uncovered. About 10-12 minutes.
- Add sugar and stir constantly.
- Continue to simmer until mixture reduces. About 15-17 minutes.
- Strain out solid pieces from liquid.
- Discard solid pieces.
- Allow ginger syrup to cool.
- Pour into an airtight glass container.
- Chill for 2 hours before using.
- In a 12 oz. glass, add ice cubes, 2 Tbsp ginger simple syrup with cold club soda.
- Stir well to combine.
- Additional syrup can be added if needed.
